Jeweller Bulgari, which operates under the umbrella of luxury giant LMVH, has appointed Benjamin Beaufils as managing director Europe. His appointment comes after Lelio Gavazza, then Bulgari's executive vice-president of sales and retail, was appointed to the newly-created post of CEO of Tom Ford Fashion in July.

Since September 2019 Beaufils has held the position of president of the Swiss watch brand Tag Heuer, also owned by LVMH, for the North American region. He joined the LVMH group in 2015 as vice-president of Louis Vuitton for North America. Prior to that, Beaufils spent 11 years with the cosmetics brand L'Occitane en Provence, where he held a number of positions, including managing director in New York. He will now be based in Rome.

Founded in Italy in 1884, Bulgari became part of the LVMH group in 2011. In 2022, the luxury group's watch and jewellery business, which includes the Bulgari brands as well as Tag Heuer, Chaumet and Tiffany&Co, generated sales of €10.5 billion.
