Shoppy launches mobile app builder in UK

Published
Nov 10, 2023

Shoppy has arrived in the UK. The platform for creating apps on Shopify claims to be the first European no-code mobile app builder for e-commerce.

Created by Italian digital specialist Mumble, the company said anyone, with Shoppy, can release their own app in just a few hours and in three steps thanks to predefined templates and design tools.

It aims to address new user purchasing behaviour which is now based largely on in-app shopping and claims to increase loyalty by 25% and conversions on the first open app by 100%.

The company has created a suite of tools with which to automate part of the development of mobile applications, e-commerce and web platforms, and has created more than 150 projects in Europe and America for companies including Hermès, Kontatto and Clarins.

It’s potentially a key development, particularly for smaller sellers who don’t have access to the tech that larger companies can use. And it’s also important given how the UK is a major market for apps.

Francesco Vellani, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mumble, said: “Shoppy makes it possible to create an app for your e-commerce without the skills of mobile developers or designers. Anyone can launch it in a few hours thanks to an intuitive interface and synchronisation with Shopify, which limits the steps and speeds up the process. In any case, Mumble makes its team of implementation specialists available to everyone, in case they want to be supported in the various steps.”

Apps created with Shoppy are released on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
