Lone Design Club (LDC), the physical platform for emerging fashion talent, is maintaining its run of opening pop-up stores in impressive retail locations. The latest temporary units open within Fenwick department stores in Canterbury and Colchester.

The association with the independent retailer follows what must have been a strong debut pop-up at its London, New Bond Street, store, which ran from 12 September to 16 October.

This new link continued LDC’s carefully curated offer of emerging fashion talent with the move to establish more regional pop-ups being part of LDC’s commitment “to fostering local creative communities and providing unique shopping experiences that resonate with these communities”.

Its business model brings together a handpicked selection of “emerging worldwide and UK-based” designers and artisans to "create a diverse range of styles and aesthetics [with] one-of-a-kind pieces”.

The stores will also host a series of events and activities where shoppers “can enjoy designer meet-and-greets and styling sessions”. Visitors can also expect festive-themed decoration and exclusive promotions.

Fenwick's Strategic Partnership Director, Leo Fenwick, said the retailer’s new pop-ups are “is the latest in a long line of ethical and responsible business initiatives… ranging from our partnership with Clean fashion rental and vintage luxury clothing shop Ooto London to local community-based projects such as the Fashion Future Makers programme in partnership with the Graduate Fashion Foundation”.

For LDC, the Christmas opening coincides with a third annual partnership with commercial property giant Landsec via a ‘Conscious Christmas Surprise’ collaboration that opened in the City of London’s One New Change from 20 November.

Other notable partnerships have included sites on London’s Belgravia, South Molton Street, Angel Central, Islington, Cardiff’s St David’s Shopping Centre, Trinity Leeds, Bart’s Square in London’s Farringdon, The Glades in Bromley and Islington Square in north London.
