International fashion and design school Istituto Marangoni London has appointed multi-awarding-winning designer  as its latest mentor for the current academic year.

Bianca Saunders - ANDAM

The mentorship with the designer “will enable students to be inspired and enriched whilst growing their skills for a future in fashion, design, and art”, the school said.

“Known for her innovative aesthetic and commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary fashion,” it said Saunders “will play a pivotal role in influencing the next generation of creatives and leaders”.

She joins a list of previous high-profile mentors, including Grace Wales Bonner and Katie Grand in London, and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing for the Paris school.

The Creative Director of her signature label launched in 2021, Saunders was previously selected by the British Fashion Council as ‘One To Watch’ in 2018, selected for the 2019 and the 2020 Dazed 100 list and Forbes’ ‘30 Under 30’ 2020 list. She also won the 32nd Andam Grand Prix Fashion Award in 2021.

Every year, Istituto Marangoni London selects industry leaders and visionaries “to create a powerful curriculum for the students expanding their knowledge while providing them with the guidance to succeed in a fiercely competitive industry”.

The school added that, under Saunders’ mentorship, “students can expect an immersive experience that goes beyond the conventional teaching methods”.
