Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto launch Y-3 Gendo sneaker line

Adidas has teamed up once again with designer Yohji Yamamoto to launch their latest collaborative silhouette, the Y-3 Gendo sneaker line. Melding innovative design with daring aesthetics, this new range features two variants: the Y-3 Gendo Superstar and the Y-3 Gendo Pro Model. The collaboration was first showcased on the Yohji Yamamoto runway and boldly explores the concept of negative space and elevation.

The Y-3 Gendo line integrates a fully hollowed-out TPU plate initially developed by the Adidas innovation team for performance midsoles. When combined with the iconic Superstar model, it results in an expressive, dynamic form that epitomises the fusion of Yohji Yamamoto and the Three Stripes' aesthetics. The sneakers also feature a premium leather upper, bringing Adidas' archive to the forefront.

The Y-3 Gendo Pro Model, on the other hand, incorporates a high-top pro model upper and replaces the standard lacing system with a striking zip closure.

The Y-3 Gendo Superstar and the Y-3 Gendo Pro Model will be available globally starting October 21. They can be purchased at Yohji Yamamoto’s boutiques and online website, Adidas’ online website, on the Confirmed app, in-store, and through selected retailers.
